❥ Folkmore Roles & Attributes
Skills: Things that they are good at. Should be short & sweet. This should be learned skills and not abilities. Can be bullet points.

• Hand to hand combat - self defense in various styles.
• Language - Fluent in Russian and German.
• Scientific knowledge - Chemistry, basics of it.
Canon Abilities: N/A
Role: Legend
Role Qualities/Attributes: What will they manifest as this role?
With regards to physical manifestations, I like the idea of the halo and the changing of eye colour in relation to emotions. I think it would be an interesting idea to explore the possibility of Peggy becoming an empath - being able to sense emotions. Something that would develop slowly over time in the game and based on her actions/engagement with the environment.
I also don't want her to be perfect, it would be an interest of mine to have Peggy struggle with the manifestations and changes, and possibly be overwhelmed by them at times.
Role Reasoning: Why are you picking this role for your character? What are your general plans concerning this?
I am choosing this role for this character because at her core, Peggy is a good person with a strong moral compass. That isn't to say she is perfect, she has had to make difficult decisions but it was all for the greater good. She looks out for others, she is protective and compassionate, kind and trustworthy.
My general plan for this role is to discover the impact that Peggy could have upon the world through her actions. She's an inquisitive type of person and would like to learn more about where she has ended up, to unearth the mystery really. Peggy will also make connections with others and help out where she can because it would be the right thing to do, despite the strange environment she has found herself in.
From a player perspective, I have been interested in the game for a while and I have enjoyed taking part in the latest test drive.
❥ Personality
Please choose one of the follow options for your personality section. Please clarify which option you have picked and, if option 2, which questions you are answering:
Option 2. Choose FOUR-FIVE of the following questions to answer and expand upon. You may choose a fifth question if you feel it is integral to your character's personality. Each answer has a 100-300 word requirement.
OPTION 2 QUESTIONS (PICK 4-5) 100-300 WORD LIMIT EACH:
• What was the most traumatic experience your character endured? How did this change them?
Peggy has endured several traumatic experiences in canon, but I will focus on one - the loss of her brother, Michael.
In a flashback it is implied that Peggy and Michael were close as children and this bond carried all the way through to adulthood. Michael signed up for the British Army upon the outbreak of World War Two and Peggy became a codebreaker at Bletchley Park. He recommended Peggy for another programme (Special Operations Executive), which would involve espionage, recognising her abilities and to give her a sense of adventure. Peggy turned it down though.
When Michael came to her engagement party, he learned that it was her fiance who had told Peggy to turn down the offer to join the programme. This prompted Michael to appeal to his sister that the life her fiance offered wasn't right for her, that she should join the programme. Peggy didn't appreciate his words and walked away from Michael.
Michael was killed on the front weeks before Peggy was due to get married and this devastated her because of their relationship. Her brother had always believed in her, that Peggy was destined for greater things and now this support had been ripped away from her.
The impact that it had upon Peggy is that in the wake of her brother's death, she joined the Special Operations Executive, which eventually led her to joining the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR). Peggy was now serving on the front lines of the war effort, working alongside Steve Rogers and the Howling Commandos. Even after Steve sacrificed himself, Peggy continued her work at the SSR and proved herself to be an excellent agent despite the skepticism from her colleagues.
Ultimately, Peggy believes in doing the right thing for the greater good. She didn't hesitate to become a code breaker to aid the war effort and after her brother died, she went down a different path which led her to join the SSR (Scientific Strategic Reserve). One of her important missions was rescuing Dr Erskine from Johann Schmidt (Red Skull) which would have likely involved killing enemy soldiers. Dr Erskine was key to the super soldier programme that the Allies were hoping to use during the war.
She also joined Steve Rogers and the Howling Commandos on several missions to beat back Hydra, knowing that it was the right thing to do. Peggy took some inspiration from Steve and believed in him. In return, he believed in her; a belief that she would take with her even after he sacrificed himself.
However, Peggy isn't above hiding the truth to protect someone or a mission, even from her superiors. Howard Stark came to her in confidence a year after the war ended to ask for her help. To her superiors, Stark was enemy number one so helping him would paint Peggy as a traitor. Peggy believes Stark and helps him anyway, despite the risk.
She also came close to shooting Stark's plane down when he was potentially endangering New York whilst under a trance. It wouldn't be an easy decision for her to make but saving the lives of citizens was more important than the life of one man.
Peggy is very much a team player and absolutely someone you would want to back you up in a crisis. However, Peggy also thinks that she can take on the whole world by herself because Steve Rogers, a man who inspired her, could. This means she is reluctant to ask for help from others despite the offer being there. She believes that she should be able to handle things because of her skillset and intelligence, because of the many successful missions she's completed.
A conversation with Edwin Jarvis during season one of Agent Carter is quite illuminating. Basically, he said that no man or woman could carry the whole world on their shoulders, and her response was that Steve was capable. Jarvis responds with:
"From what Mr. Stark has told me, Captain Rogers relied heavily on you. For courage, strategy, and moral guidance."
Essentially telling Peggy that even a super soldier couldn't do everything on his own. He would also need support on occasion to complete a mission. Peggy seemed to carry these words with her for the rest of the season, relying on Jarvis for assistance. However, I still feel this is something Peggy will continue to struggle with because of her stubbornness.
In terms of improvement, Peggy could try to be more open with others and share her fears, hopes and dreams. She could become more comfortable with being vulnerable and not be afraid to show that kind of emotion in front of people. For people she knows, this would be easier, but it would be a struggle with strangers. Peggy is good at showing empathy for others, but it doesn’t always include being empathetic towards herself.
There are probably a few things that Peggy would change about her past, but if I were to choose one, it would have been to prevent Dr Erskine from being assassinated. She was quick to apprehend the assassin, shooting him in the arm before chasing him out in the street and stopping him from getting away in a car. Steve was able to catch up to the assassin.
As mentioned in a different section of the application, Peggy was the one who rescued Erskine in the first place. He was an intelligent and good man, a key ally for the war effort and losing him cost the allies greatly. From the perspective of the army, it meant that the Super Soldier Programme would come to an end. Peggy would agree with that from a strategic standpoint, but she was also saddened by the human cost.
Erskine had become good friends with Steve as well as a mentor, helping the man to believe in himself when he thought he wasn't good enough. Peggy recognised that having Erskine around would continue to help Steve. Erskine also had a family of his own, whom he had tried to escape to Switzerland with before he was captured by Schmidt. It would be safe to assume that after the war, Peggy would want Erskine to reunite with them.
